Closely related to the Flatbed range, and with the addition of a sloping rear bed section, these trailers offer the flexibility of a Flatbed with the added benefit of a low loading height to the rear of the trailer. As with all our Flatbed trailers, the Beavertail range can be fitted with one of our winch options, allowing the recovery and loading of broken down or unpowered vehicles. We offer width options of 1.98m/6’6" and 2.25m/7’6" and length options of 4.23m/14’ and 4.77m/16’. The maximum gross weight for the lighter LT models is 2000kg, whilst the heavier LM models offer maximum gross weight of 3500kg.
For owners of vehicles with low ground clearance or those in the vehicle recovery business, the Tiltbed is an ideal choice. It provides all the benefits of the Flatbed range, combined with an easily-tilted platform for effortless loading. There are two size options in the range: CT166 (4.77m/16’ long, 1.98m/6’6" wide) and CT167 (4.77m/16’ long, 2.25m/7’4" wide). Both models offer a maximum gross weight of 3500kg. Tilt is achieved through the use of a manual hydraulic pump. The low tilt angle (approximately 12 degrees) and drop-down tail ramp make it easier to drive almost any kind of wheeled vehicle onto the trailer bed. A longer (0.91/3’) loading ramp is available as an option.
GH models are of galvanized welded construction with leaf spring suspension ensuring they will withstand tough conditions. Our range comprises of four model options; GH64, GH94, GH94BT and GH1054. The single axle GH64 is compact yet robust providing a neat and convenient trailer that can be towed behind a car, the 1230kg payload is designed for smaller items of plant such as micro-excavators. The GH94 comes in two versions – most popular is a beavertailled version on 165R13C tyres – known as GH94BT. Also available is a GH94 with a flat bed on 195/55R10C tyres. The Beavertail feature means that the excellent loading angle of 13⁰ is maintained during loading.
The GP series trailers, widely regarded as the toughest plant trailers in the industry, have an open rectangular steel framework, integral with the chassis. Maximum gross weight of the range is 3500kg. Models range from the smallest GP106 to the largest GP146. Trailers are offered with three tyre options and larger models are also available as tri-axle versions. GP models are fitted with a tough resin-coated plywood platform. Various options are also available including factory fitted aluminium treadplate floor covering, bolt on ramp knife edge and 1.8m/6’ skids or ramp in place of the standard size of 1.2m/4’. All our plant trailer models are fitted with integrated ramp or skid supports. This standard feature ensures trailers are supported whilst being loaded without the need to deploy prop stands.
GX Series trailers are constructed from folded pre-galvanized steel sections and are offered with hinged adjustable skids or a full-width loading ramp plus a built-in bucket rest as standard. Sizes range from the smallest GX84 up to the largest GX126. GX Models are available with maximum gross weights of 2700kg and 3500kg.
From the smallest LT85 to the largest LM208, all Flatbed models are built around a welded steel, galvanized chassis fitted with bolt-on tapered drawbars and the Ifor Williams beam axle and leaf sprung suspension. The Flatbed trailer range is normally supplied with twin axles. Tri-axle options are available on our LM6 series models in lengths over 12’. With the addition of a winch, rear prop stands and either loading skids or the full-width ramp (1.83m/6’ in length), the versatile flatbed can be used to carry loads such as small plant, ride-on mowers, mixers, shredders, rollers and a multitude of mobile plant equipment.
Introducing the new range of Tiltbed trailers from Ifor Williams Trailers, designed specifically for the landscape and car transportation industry. Choose from six trailer models all with a very generous overall width of 2100mm and four length options, two of which are our first Tiltbed tri-axle models. Trailers feature a plywood floor centre which is flush with steel outer edges and are suitable for a range of vehicles including rollers and excavators. There is no raised rail around the bed of the trailer, making it a completely flat surface.
